Bever Dye Announces New Associate
Bever Dye, LC is pleased to announce that Douglas L. Johns, JD, has become an associate of the firm. Doug received his undergraduate degree from Evangel University (B.B.A., Accounting) and a Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law. Doug practices in the areas of estate planning, taxation, trusts and estates, wills, probate and business law.
Speaking Engagements
In October 2011, Eric Larson gave a presentation to People's Bank and Trust in Hutchinson, Kansas, regarding general estate planning. Also, in October 2011, he spoke at a Business Valuation Seminar sponsored by the Kansas Society of CPAs in Overland Park, Kansas, where he provided them with an update on federal estate and gift tax issues with an emphasis on valuation issues.
In October 2011, Eric Parkhurst spoke at the Kansas Bar Association Nuts & Bolts Seminar #1 for the Transactional Lawyer. His presentation was entitled Due Diligence Basics for Transactional Lawyers.
In November 2011, Brian Turney spoke at the KBA Income Tax Boot Camp in Salina, Kansas, on the topic of Income Taxation of Estates and Trusts.
In Febraury, 2012, Bob Hughes spoke at the KBA Slam Dunk Conference in Manhattan, Kansas, on Asset Protection Planning: Keeping Creditors and Predators at Bay.
