Bever Dye Attorneys selected to Kansas Super Lawyers for 2010

Bever Dye, LC attorneys have once again received the designation of Kansas Super Lawyers for 2010 in the tax practice area. They are William M. Cobb, Jack D. Flesher and Eric J. Larson. Also, Brian A. Turney and Eric S. Parkhurst have received the designation of Kansas Super Lawyers Rising Stars for 2010 in the estate planning and probate practice area.

Gregg C. Goodwin Speaking Engagement

Gregg C. Goodwin will be speaking at the Kansas Society of CPAs Conference on Kansas Taxes which will be held in Topeka on June 27, 2011. The topic of his presentation will be "Insight into Kansas Tax Cases" and will give an update of the Kansas tax cases over the past year.

Robert M. Hughes Speaking Engagements

Robert M. Hughes spoke in January 2011 at the KBA Elder Law Seminar and at the Douglas County Kansas Estate Planning Council. His topic for both sessions was Asset Protection Planning.

In February 2011, he will be speaking to the Wichita Bar Association Estate Planning and Practice Seminar on the topic of Asset Protection Planning.

Eric J. Larson Speaking Engagement

In March 2011, Eric J. Larson spoke at a meeting of the Wichita Chapter of the Kansas Society of CPAs. The topic of his presentation was "New Year, Different Rules: Estate Tax, Gift Tax & GST Tax Rules for 2011."

In April 2011, Eric gave two presentations at the Regional Conference of the Subchapter S Banking Association in Dallas. His first topic was "New Year, Different Rules: Estate Tax, Gift Tax & GST Tax Rules for 2011," and his second topic was "The Top 10 Estate Planning Techniques to Consider."

Bever Dye Announces New Associates

Bever Dye, LC is pleased to announce that Danielle K. Schulte has become an associate of the firm. Danielle received her undergraduate degree from Kansas State University and graduated from Washburn University Law School. Danielle will practice in the areas of taxation, trusts and estates, wills, probate and business law.

Bever Dye, LC is pleased to announce that Laci L. Boyle, JD, LL.M., has become an associate of the firm. Laci received her undergraduate degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University (B.S., Business Administration); a Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas and a Masters in Taxation (LL.M.) from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Laci will practice in the areas of taxation, trusts and estates, wills, probate and business law.

Community Involvement

Gregg C. Goodwin has been selected for the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants (KSCPA) "20 up to 40" Leadership Program Class of 2010.

Eric S. Parkhurst is currently serving as Secretary of the Rotary Club of West Wichita and as Treasurer of the Downtown Wichita YMCA Men's Club for the current year. He is also on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of South Central Kansas serving as chair of the Finance Committee.

Robert Hughes is currently serving as Past President of the Wichita Estate Planning Council.

Robert Hughes has been named to the Board of Trustees of the Wichita–Sedgwick County Historical Museum.

Gregg C. Goodwin is currently serving as Co-Champion of the Tax Committee for the Kansas Society of CPAs. He has also joined the Wichita State University Foundation, Planned Giving Council.
