Jack practices in the areas of taxation, exempt organizations, trusts and estates, wills, and probate. He frequently handles tax controversies including civil tax litigation in federal and Kansas courts. Jack has extensive experience in representing charitable organizations and cooperatives. His representative clients include individuals, charitable organizations, cooperatives, and closely held businesses. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit, U.S. Claims Court, U.S. Tax Court, U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas and Kansas state courts.
Jack was an Internal Revenue Service Agent from 1965 to 1971 and an Internal Revenue Service Agent-Conferee from 1972 through 1973, prior to joining Bever Dye in 1974. Jack is a member of the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives.
He is an occasional lecturer on tax, charitable organization, and estate planning topics for professional and various other organizations. Jack is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and in Kansas Super Lawyers.
